They were originally recorded in stereo. The problem was... they were dubbed to dvd using a mono vcr. So is there a computer program I can use to made soned go through both channels.

It may not be possible.

The VHS may have been originally recorded in mono, or the tape may have degraded to the point where that's all that's available.

Now, there may have been a recording error, where the sound channels were not properly recorded to the new format, but that's something that I can't tell from here.

Also, if you only have one side, (assuming all the sound is in that one side), you can record the same sound to the other side - it's not stereo, but at least both speakers will work.

In the future, you might state what equipment and what programs you used to achieve this.
