which cord goes where? green, white, red and black

I think you mean 220 volt? if so need to phase white is neutral black and red are load L1 and L2 green of course is ground.
terminals on stove should be marked if not terminal screw colour can help gold screws are the load screws green screw the ground silver screw the neutral.If you are fitting a male end to the cord follow the colour guide or white top pin black and red left or right pin green round pin.If not sure download from net adobe file on 220volt single phase hook-up.Please locate breaker or fuse in panel before you mess with the wall mounted female receptacle and turn off power source to receptacle.

Go to Home Depot and ASK them.

Now, if you have a faulty plug, you can buy a new one, wire it up according to the instructions, or according to how the old one was wired up, and that should work.

If it's wired directly to a line or to the box, then I'd need more info.

BUT, the safest way of all is - call an electrician, and get a price quote before they come.

If you're not sure call the Repair Clinic they have a 800# you can call and speak to the repair guy he will give you free advise and help.They also have a diagram page that might help too.
