I'm getting a piercing gun for only about 20-25 dollars, but I want to know if this will work out. It would be grand if you could help me. Thanks!

NO.

Piercing guns are horrible for EVERYTHING. They're "guns" therefore- FORCING a blunt object through your body. It causes unneeded damage and is a dumb idea for ANY piercing, ears too.

Your chance of getting an infection are increased a ridiculous amount by trying to pierce your bellybutton yourself, and then even MORE by using that stupid gun.

Don't. Do. It.

Period. If you value your body and well-being, suck it up and pay the extra twenty-thirty dollars and get your navel pierced professionally.

It's possible, but it's a terrible idea.

The jewelry in those guns is cheap. You can have all sorts of problems because of it (allergic reactions for one). The jewerly is not the right type. A stud just isn't right at all for a navel piercing, you won't be able to pierce it properly or heal it. The jewelry is both too short and too thin. It's about an 18ga, which is way to small to heal a navel piercing, it will reject. It's too short to pierce through an appropriate ammount of tissue.

Pay the extra $15 or so and have it done by a pro

You should use that 25 dollars just to go get it pierced at either a tattoo parlor or piercing salon. They use long needles, not just a piercing gun. Trust me, you wouldn't want to use the needle that is part of the piercing gun.

Piercing weapons have been on no account meant for use on cartilage. maximum possibly they pierced it diagonally by way of the tissue inflicting 10x the wear that they many times could (piercing weapons could reason crush variety injuries and use blunt stress trauma to tear a hollow by way of your physique). Like maximum folk, till now I knew extra appropriate I had my cartilage finished with a gun and replaced into in soreness for extra or less 8 months immediately. definitely, your maximum suitable wager is to take it out now and permit it heal over and have it repierced perfect. in a pair of months.

It really depends on your navel and the style of gun, technically you could. I don't know that I would suggest it but, be careful and make sure you have sterile studs and your piercing gun is clean to avoid any bacteria or infection.
