blinking check engine light means catalytic converter is being damaged due to engine conditions ,maybe cylinder misfire or fuel system rich or lean code present the poor engine performance sounds like a mis fire code tune up should fix issue ( plugs wires cap and rotors and check coil circuit)

Without the smart aleck answers. check the engine code at autozone and fix the problem and the light will be gone.

Check the engine. My "Give a crap" meter just pegged when I answered this question. Oops that was my "Low Beer" light flashing - and I would hope you know to turn that off.

First, check the engine.
Second, locate the problem
third, fix the problem.
Fourth, the light will extinguish itself.

There is a reset button right underneth the dash, next to the steering column on your right. It is a small square reset button. Hold it for 3 seconds and it will resets it. hope it helps.

Autozone can. You should see what code(s) are set, if you haven't already. I've heard their not supposed reset it though. buy a scanguage
