We all know about Martin Luther King Jr. and many other African-American activists. But what about Asians? Shouldn't we have a voice too? There is a lot more racism against Asians now. I'm not being racist by saying how Asian's should have more protection. I'm just simply saying that racism has not been solved, and it happens everyday. Open your eyes people.

Don't forget Mexicans. I think the reason African Americans have more respect now is because of many years of the U.S rebuilding after the slavery ordeal and now well you get the point. Asians and Mexicans however...errrr, they don't have a voice do they?

why should asians have more protection? everyone should have equal protection...if one race needs more protection then every race gets that same amount of protection. and what protection are u talking about? NO ONE is protected from race...martin luther king jr was not black peopls protector...he was only standing up for his and other peoples rights...he wasnt really trying to 'protect' us.

and actually...i dont see any racism agianst asians. on yahoo answers all i see is, " how come a black can say something racist and it be okay but a white cant? "
or " arent blacks crime rates higher?"

they are just black and white people questions...i havent seen anything against asians!!! and if you have experienced racism....then get over it. because i am biracial and have experienced before to. but if you are experiencing racism to an extent that is harsh and not just occasional like everyone else, then you should do something. stand up for yourself and for all the other asians. but if your just getting occasional comments...which everyone does....ALL people do....then u need to get over it. it will take the WHOLE world to end racism...and people from the KKK arent willing to help...so racism wont end until EVERYONE is willing to end racism. it only takes one person to keep the fight going on.

Yes But,
Our situation is different from other minorities (except Native Americans), most blacks where brought to America by force (during slavery), and we didn't technically become free in America until after the Civil Rights movement of the 1960's (including Dr. King) Technically we've only been free for about 47yrs in America, whites have been free here since 1400's. We were brought here as slaves same time as whites colonized America.
In south US it was legal to hang a black man, and blacks couldn't serve as jury's. Blacks were killed like flies before Dr. King and many women were raped/abused. Blacks had to be last when it came to everything. Even in segregated schools they weren't equal at all. Blacks received old torn up books, desks and other used items from white schools.

If I volunteered to come to America or my (grandparents did) I wouldn't be complaining cause I came on my on free will, but you still shouldn't be discriminated against because of who you are.

Why don't you mention any white activists that get props? I don't mean KKK or skinheads. I mean the likes of Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton who are "respected" activists. Oh, I know why, its because only blacks seem to have a "voice". I'm not racist, but it seems if we want racism to stop, the "voices" need to stop or at least speak up for any race that is being discrimated against.

I've been in the country for over a year now, and has never been approached by anyone nasty or abusive in any way. I don't think it's a big problem now. People are often offended and feel that others are being racist towards them. But why is it OK for them to be racist towards others?

If there was only one race, people would find a reason to be prejudice. What does it really matter when people who do not even know you, say things against you. God made quite the diversity, when He was so kind, as to make our Planet School, it would be boring other wise.

Let's not make it a competition to see which group has more racism towards them. Yes you all should have a voice. Maybe you should be the one to get it started.

Get some asian people to voice out the injustices they feel they have been dealt. Other races in the USA do it. Why cant you do the same?

What for? -just because of this Ho moron who shot up his school? The best way to fight racism is to be an example and focus on the positives. There's always someone out there hating on someone else for their color, sexual orientation, religion or creed. The best way to go about it is to stand your ground and stay away from ignorant people. This is really nothing different from anyone else who gets it.

The suggestion that anybody should have more protection against racism than anyone else is inherently racist, so of course not.
