Out of the Box

# PS3 premium-60 gig
# Blue Ray (50gig capacity)
# True 1080p HiDef including the lastest hdmi output
# PSP remote play
8 core cell processor
# The internal 60 gig hard drive- capable of storing Ps2 memorycard game saves, photos, movies, music etc…
# Ability to hook up external hard drives, and jump drives- and and play from or transfer music, photos, videos, etc…to the hard drive…. Playstation 3 Solutions
# Key board and mouse abilities
# Surf anywhere on the net like any computer (PS3 Has it's own web browser) Download music from anywhere etc..
#
# PLay online for free -with chat and video chat features Play games- Resistance Fall of Man-

# Play all the Ps2 games (2400) if you have ps2

You can use sd -min sd- compac flash and usb jumpdrives as well as external hard drives.

It takes music cds and video cds (Homebrew as well), dvds (homebrew as well), and blue ray

You can spilt the hard drive and run the ps3 os and windows and switch between which means you play pc games as well.

We've been testing and running the ps3 24/7 for 4 weeks now and the system has had no problems what so ever

Our xbox 360 has had issues from the start even when we were sent a brand new one.

Xbox 360 Elite out april29-2007 for $479-
# 120 gig hard drive (xbox 360 premium 20gig $399)
# Xbox live has fees is fun
# Has Great game titles
3 core processor
# 1080i update available for the premium $(399)- Elite will come with hdmi port (not the lastest format, xbox is only 1.2--- ps3 is 1.3 )
no blue Ray no hddvd games still produced on dvd (8gig capacity)

Still uses an old dx9 for graphics(it cannot be upgraded)-- programmers are currently programming for dx10 for fall released games.

Hddvd player has to be purchased seperately for all the xbox systems
# No web Browser for internet browsing
Halo 3 is soon to be released.

THe Xbox 360 elite will have the same processor as the premium and the same hardware the only difference is the hdmi port and the size of the harddrive.

All offer WiFI connection to the internet but the Xbox 360 premium and elite needs the purchase of extra hardware($100) to do so.

To get the xbox 360 premium or elite up to where the ps3 is out of the box will cost around 700-750.
Source(s):

Xbox 360 still produces games in dvd format which only holds 8gig which means for bigger graphics and game maps etc... the game disc will have to unzip even more files onto the hardrive ..

Ps3 games (resistence etc...are on blueray which holds 50gig and with new compression not released yet will hold 200gig.

FOr the money and service I would say ps3 because the xbox uses dvd format for games which holds less then blueray and even if you buy the hddvd($200) extra for the xbox360 microsoft said themselves they are not sure that'll be the standard because since the release of the ps3 blue ray sales have surpassed hddvd sales. The ps3 comes with the blue as a standard.

Ps3 is hdmi out of the box because those of us with hd 1080p tvs already have the cables. It's comes standard with hdmi 1.3 port...

When you compare the systems and are worried about price, it comes out to be a better deal for the ps3

When comparing the 2 better systems of each, these are the ps3 advantages: (aka, ps3 has more things included for only $200 more

-40 more gigabytes on hard disk drive
-100% backwords compatibility with ps2 and ps1 games
-Built-in WiFi card ($100 add-on to xbox 360 premium)
-Built in hi-def movie player = blu-ray ($149 HD-DVD drive add on to xbox)
-HDMI Output (xbox cant achive hightest res: 1080p)
-Memory Stick reader (...xbox cant do that, period)
- No need to pay $$$ for online gaming, friends, messages, all that is free on ps3 (monthly fee for xbox live)
-PS3 discs (blu-ray) can hold 50GB of data (more resolution and more depth and story and niceness of games) where as xbox 360 games are the normal 8GB dvds (pitiful)
-Hook up to the psp to add more features in future games, such as a second screen for a map or something like you saw on the Nintendo DS
-Games suck right now but will eventually catch up with 360s games.
