What do you really have to do to become a celebrity? Some people actually work for it, and use their status to try and impact the world. However, others are just rich and famous for no reason.

If I had to pick a celebrity that I don't think deserves the fame they have today, my choice would be Paris Hilton. Some people don't have to work hard to become a celebrity..they just have to be born into it. Other people like us are out there working jobs and not getting very far while people like her are sitting back and enjoying daddy's money. It's rather sad.

I think Jennifer Meyer doesn't deserve to live the high class celebrity lifestyle at all. I say this because four years ago, she had a great job when she began dating my Prince Charming, Tobey Maguire. And now, she is living off of him like a common freeloader by not getting a great job and meeting new people like a normal person. But no, she has to start this so-called jewelry design business that she and the whole world knows that it will never go anymore. So what does she do? She dates and becomes engaged to Tobey Maguire (if she really loves him), have his baby, and not even pulling her own weight. I don't care if she is one of Ron Meyer's children.
Everyone knows or should have known by now that the only reason Jennifer Meyer is with Tobey Maguire for so many years is because he buys her things, takes her places, and treats her to exotic vacations. In the four years Jennifer Meyer has been with Tobey Maguire, I bet she never bought him anything nice in return, which makes her a pimp. Besides, the only beautiful thing that she gave Tobey Maguire free of charge is a gorgeous baby daughter.
I don't want anything in the world happen to Tobey Maguire and his lovely daughter, Ruby Sweetheart Maguire. I love and care about them too much to see them get hurt, and right now, Jennifer Meyer is hurting both of them, because I know in my heart that she doesn't love them one bit. If she really does love them, then she would get herself a great job and be around people (and I don't mean celebrities)!

Unless you are simply famous by association, a lot of it is hard to get. Believe it or not, the acting and singing industries are EXTREMELY tough. There are millions of people every day going to auditions to try to get a part in even th smallest things like commercials. Many people have been going to auditions for years and never even got one. Those that became popular are very talented, and lucky to a certain degree. I find it quite sad that 'famous' actors/singers are more known than other people who have affected the world much more. But that's how it is here....

I must agree with you. I'd say nine of them deserve mediocrity, which is what they have to offer. I can't for the life of me fathom why anyone would give them the opportunity to act badly, or do whatever it is they were supposed to do whether singing off key or making fools of themselves at parties in the first place.
I call it the Katie Couric syndrome, but she's hardly as hopeless as Brittney whats-er-name or Paris or Tom Cruise or even worse rock freaks.

What about reality tv celebrities? And then acourse we have Paris Hilton because she fits into two categories,she was a co-star in a reality show and I don't see how she worked to gain her status. It seems to me she is getting her celebrity status from old money.

Any Celebrity that doesn't give back to the people that give to them...example: You go out and buy every single cd of your favorite band. You just happen to bump into them and ask for an autograph and they give you the cold shoulder....Yea they don't deserve it. I think what Ozzy is doing with ozzfest is a very unselfish thing to do to give back to his fans...GO OZZY!!!!!
