yes you can. but your best bet is to go somewhere dark away from lights if possible. the best time to watch is tonight anytime after midnight. the peak should start around 3-4 in the morning in your area. but if you cant stay up that late, then just go out as late as you can and look straight up. good luck!!!!!!

Probably not from inside the city, because all the lights will overwhelm the dimmer meteors, just like they do the dimmer stars. But there may be a few really bright ones, just like there are a few bright stars that can be seen even from in the city. Just be aware that you may see very few, like 5 an hour or whatever. Better to drive out to the country somewhere where you can see the Milky Way and so many stars it is unbelievable to someone used to city skies. And the best time to see most meteor showers is just before dawn, because that is the side of Earth facing into the meteor stream. That is really inconvenient for most people though. At least I have an easier time staying up late than I do getting up early.

a) Make sure it is clear out
b) Try to find an area that is not well-lit, particularly to the eastern horizon.
c) You need to go out early in the morning to about an hour before sunrise.
d) You should be able to locate the constellation Lyra. Fortunately, the constellation includes the very bright star Vega, and is part of the "Summer Triangle", which in Spring is rising early in the morning.
