They are the same. You would place a repeater or rangebooster in a area just before you stop receiving a good signal from your router or access point and it will increase the range of your wireless network.

Range Booster changes the name of your network on the other end. Repeater keeps your network name but costs more to but. Many so-called repeaters are really only range extenders. Be careful, read the fine print.

a repeater just repeats all signals it catches, thus intensifying them, works good when u put in the middle of ur stuff

range booster is kind of vague, i have this thing from d-link that i beleive they call a range booster, it is these 2 little things that u plug each into a wall outlet, one of them plugs in wired to ur router, and it communicates thru power lines in house with the other thing which emits wireless signal and allows computers to connect to it, i use to get my wireless signal to other end of my house, works great

a repeater will repeat the signal it carry & also help boost up your signal range. a range booster will only increase the signal stength.

Wireless booster,wireless extender,wireless repeaters....they are the same in purpose.
