double standards in our society, women are treated more lenient in the eyes of the law.

I dont know honestly.
I have seen some situations where a woman killed her husband and then claimed that the husband beat her, and then she gets a sentence that I would say didnt fit the crime.
Look at Lorena Bobbit, she cut her husbands penis off and then claimed she did it because he beat her, she was later found not guilty by reason of insanity.

No, the women prisons are full of women who murdered their husbands - they generally get life sentences. In fact, most of the women in prison are either there because of drugs or murder of a spouse or boyfriend.

Sure they are. Women win the vast majority of divorce cases as well.
