I have this pattern. In it there are 6 white hexagons and 26 blue hexagons. It says if there are 2000 white tiles, then how many blue tiles would there be?

How would you work this out

Help appreciated

Thank you

i will not be able to respond to that, as a results of fact for that fraction, i don't comprehend if the numerator is 5, (4+5), (2*4+5). comparable with the denominator. in spite of the incontrovertible fact that, if i assume which you recommend: 2 x 4 + (5 / 2) - 3 x 4 + 3 = then persist with the order of operations, PEMDAS. That stands for Parentheses, Exponents, Multiplication, branch, Addition Subtraction. Multiplication and branch are executed on the comparable time yet from left to excellent, as are addition and subtraction. So first, you won't be able to do something with what's in parentheses, and there are not any exponents, so initiate with multiplication and branch: (2*4) + (5/2) -(3*4) +3 = 8 + (5/2) -12 +3 Now, upload or subtract from left to excellent: (8 5/2) -9 convert to unsuitable fractions with a denominator of two: 21/2 - 18/2=3/2 So the respond is 3/2.

set up the proportion, 6/26=2000/x
solve for x by doing multiply and divide method, 26x2000/6=8666 2/3

hard to say without seeing it exactly, it sounds like a ratio problem. for example, the ratio is 6/26 (6 over 26).
maybe this will get you started
