Other countries have names: Germany, Australia, China, Ireland. You can't call the US "America" since that's the name of the continent, not the country. How come we don't get a real name? Any nominations?

If you consider the US not having a name, then we're not the only nameless ones. United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, Federated States of Micronesia, Democratic Republic of the Congo,Central African Republic.
