I don't know where you live, but you need to be in Los
Angeles for anything related to television. Take class
with those who are already employed in soap operas
and network like crazy. Agents come to these classes
to see new blood. If you've been acting this long, you have
the experience, but you must be seen. Without an agent,
you're a fish out of water here. Get some great head shots
together and any film or tape you have on yourself, your
resume and start pounding the pavement. It's the only
way unless someone sees you on the street or in a cafe
and you happen to fit their requirements after they've
interviewed 100 wrong people for a part. Versatility is
extremely important. Your ability to change your look, physical characteristics and voice are key. It's a hard
business if you're looking for a full time career. Good luck.
P.S. Schmooz and try to make as many connectiongs as
possible. Be sure your name gets around.

There are all sorts of "jobs" available when it comes to working on television, but it is true for the most part, you need to be in LA to make it happen. They do film a few shows in NYC still but they are getting few and far in between.
Alot of tv shows are using sites like actor's access, now casting and la casting as opposed to hardcopy breakdown services now due mainly because of the time constraints of production. I would suggest you check out a few of those sites and see what they have to offer.
But why limit yourself only to television? If nothing comes up right away why not hone your skills in some indies or student films. 15 years exp on stage is great but there are a lot of differences between a stage actor and a screen actor. Some subtle, some huge. Kind of like the differences between a figure skater and a hockey player. They both work on ice, but their performances differ greatly.
The other route you could always try is starting off on shows doing extra work. I know a lot of people that go in as a background performer, get bumped to a featured slot, keep working the shows and have eventually been t/h into a union with a speaking bit. It'll take some persistance, but anything worth your time always does.
