The Tripper opened in limited theaters yesterday (april 20) and if you haven't seen it go...it's a blast!!!!

My Review: I just saw the premier of "The Tripper" in Santa Cruz last night. This movie was a lot of fun to watch. Never a dull moment and it was the funniest horror show I've ever seen. The audience laughed through the entire piece. Shot in the redwoods near Santa Cruz this movie is filled with some really gorgeous shots (when the blood isn't all over the screen). It has enough depth to have you thinking as you drive home. There are a lot of nuances that don't sink in till after the movie is over and you start putting all the pieces together.

Well Done David!!

Go See It, It Rocks!!! It's So Scary, But it's Hillarious At The Same Time!!! The Best Movie Of The Year!!! Go See It With A HUGE Group Of Friends--It Makes The Experience Better!
Tell Everyone To Go See It, So It Can Do Well At The Box Office And Then It Will Expand To People who Unfortunatley Can Not See It.

It opened in San Diego, without much (if any) fanfare.....

...I had hoped for something underlining...perhaps even something subconsciously to say, politically, amongst all the bloody mayhem (which was pretty all the film had going for it!!); but unfortunately, the film succumbed to nothing more than a wretched & contrived combination of "Dazed and Confused" meets "Friday the 13th:".

It even featured Jason Mewes, who essentially, once again blew the dust off his tripped out 'druggie' character he fine-tuned in the Kevin Smith movies (i.e., 'Clerks', 'Mallrats', etc....the act's gettin' old, Jason!!!); nothing standout, whatsoever (and yet, surprisingly enough, I thought he stood out so much better in the direct-to-video film "R.S.V.P.!!!)

Nothing new or exempliary here, unless you seek a substandard, ever-so-slightly tongue-in-cheek '80's slasher standard type of film; I had actually expected more from director David Arquette, considering the eccentrically colorful family lineage he stems from.

...a substandard home video viewing, at best (and that's being extraordinarily kind, at best!!!
