but I fear that I may have missed my chance since I'm 25. What do y'all think?

You are NEVER too old to further your education...and in my personal opinion, I think the older you are, the more dedicated you may be about it.

You probably have a good sense of maturity and responsibility about you, whereas when I went to school I was a little immature and was just going to College to go. While I DID earn a degree, I was still fixated on partying, and didn't take class that seriously. There were people that were in my classes who ranged from 18 (like I was at the time) all the way up to their 60s.

Needless to say, the majority of the more mature and experienced folks grades were much better than mine. :o)

I am in 100% support of ANYONE at ANY AGE attending college for the first time, or even picking up from where they left off.

Put your mind to it, and you can't go wrong.

Plus an education is something that can NEVER be taken away from you.

Go for it!

Good Lord! Like 25 is old ! I got my Master's in Medicine when I was 48 (I am a physician assistant). The doctor I work with started med school in his late thirties.

Nonsense. You are the perfect age to go to college. For medicine particularly, may schools prefer mature-age (sorry) applicants since you are clearly committed to this course of study and not just doing it because your parents think it's a good idea.

Depends...what have you been up to until now?
Going to college is great idea, go for it.
Hopefully you will consider the possibility of alternative career/education paths though in case the doctor thing doesn't work out.

I saw this exact q in Dear Abby once--the guy was fifty, and said he'd be over 60 by the time he finished in ten years.
Abby said, if you DON'T go, how old will you be in ten years??

I thought that was a great answer--you are NEVER to old to follow a dream!

your never ever too old. As long as you dont have to support yourself. Hopefully, you have a husband who pays for all your expenses, because theres no way you can work and be in med school.
