We can take sattelite pictures from space of an area the size of a postage stamp- I would like to see pictures of the equipment left behind from the Apollo missions to the Moon.

Our space based satellites are in low earth orbit--a few hundred miles up.

This makes them more than 100,000 miles from the moon. We lack the power to resolve lunar surface features in that fine of detail.

However, we have bounced laser light off mirrors astronaughts left on the lunar surface.

Excellent question Michael! Why doesn't NASA take the Hubble telescope or any high powered telescope and give the American public pictures of the Lunar Modules, Space Rover(s) or even the American Flag on the moon? NASA won't even address the issue of all the inconsistencies surrounding the Apollo missions! Get the book "Dark Moon" by Mary Bennett and David S. Percy and look at the evidence that the Apollo missions were a scam.

The biggest obstacle for the alleged moon missions are 3 elements: (1) The Van Allen Belts which trap high energy particles around the earth, (2) Solar Particle Events (solar flares) consisting of protons, alpha particles and small fluxes of heavy nuclei, (3) Galactic Cosmic Radiation--the ever-present radiation in the galaxy containing extremely high energy protons, alpha particles and heavy nuclei.

The shielding on Command Space Module is nowhere sufficient to protect the astronauts let alone the film being carried aboard. And even if the astronauts made it to the moon, the fact that they were outside their protective shielding of the Lunar Module would even heighten the chance of irradiation!

C'mon NASA you've mooned us enough!!!

I'm interested in this too, since many people believe that astronauts who visited the moon during the Apollo mission could not have survived the radiation on the moon and the Van Allen belt.

Telescopes on Earth cannot resolve objects that small on the Moon because of turbulence in our atmosphere. But satellites in orbit around the Moon have photographed the blast marks from the LEMs taking off from the Moon.

The satelittes are not close enough to the moon to resolve anything on the surface. And small areas on earth can only be resolved with electronic enhancement.
