Idsbrmp, I shouldn't have to talk to strangers when I'm outside. I'm not looking to strike up a conversation, I just want to listen to my music and get to where I'm going.

John P, that's glaringly obvious. What I want to know is why they want to say what they have to say, which is usually not very important, to me when they can clearly see I have headphones on. Try to be more helpful in the future and less of a smart*ss.

I just nod my head slowly and laugh. It also is helpful to slowly turn away. In fact, one time I actually took the headphones off and replied with "Do shut up."

It's all about attention, like when you finally get to sleep, someone always says,
