Why can some people be so heartless???

People that are judgemental of someone else's culture or have a biased point of view of someone from another country is just ignorant. I mean, that's what they do in Russia.

Evil is a seed that once planted, has to be uprooted. It cannot be cropped.

Satan planted the seed in man's mind and it means that there will be more of these kinds of people everywhere.

Do you remember how after Sept. 11, 2001 there were all these "enough already" people?

Maybe this woman can only think of her own tragedies. It is sad.

But until Jesus comes to uproot evil, we have to be kind and try to offset idiots like these.

It is a shame that the world judges us on such a small basis. So many from other countries think that we are a land of lawlessness. Which is not the case.

About 15 years ago, I had an internet acquaintance come visit me in Northern Michigan. She was traveling from Australia to visit family in The Netherlands. She traveled across North America, South to the Grand Canyon then north to Oregon then on to Canada, cross the border a few times but mostly through Canada. I was her next to last stop in the US.

She told me that the view in Australia about America was that our country was full of gangsters, drugs being used by everyone and teenagers running rampant throughout the country. She was relieved and happy that this was not the case.

But we ARE portrayed by our news and the movies and television programs that are shipped abroad.

I'm an American and I ask the same question. Our Government's so bent on fighting illegal wars and minding the business of everyone else that she can't pay attention to what's going on in her own backyard....we're losing our children daily to tv, video games, computers, crime, drugs... etc.............
this woman is no different, look how the vast majority of Americans judge by race or religion example....muslims, blacks, mexicans..... etc......

A lot of people in Russia live in Soviet era apartment buildings. They eat turnips and potatoes and bortsch and drink vodka like water.

I know this because I know someone who went there and he came back really skinny with a strong liking for vodka.

They have never been to America, so I am unsure of the basis for their comments.

American society has a lot of problems. Some see the latest shooting as a sympton of these problems. Anyway, whether you agree or disagree with her post, why would you let an internet post bother you so much? People write all sorts of things on the internet.

Many people focus on this one event and seem to forget that the americans attacked Iraq, killing hundreds of civilians in the process, with more and more dying each day.

I think the real question is how can some people be so heartless to forget about the real state of the world, and focus only on insignificant things that won't have a lasting impact on the future of the entire world?
