Where is the serial number located at on a Nintendo DS?

I know it is on the bottom of it but I am not sure exactly where

it's on the bottom near the gameboy slot, where you see what looks like a long barcode.

for the DS, it usually starts with the letter U, then another letter, and ends at the number in the box on the far right.

that boxed number is part of the serial number

if you have the box that it came in, i would check there. and if it's not there or just on the back, i would check on the inside, where the battery would be.
