I moved into a house one month ago. We moved in with a dog which the landlord knew about. A week after we moved in, she can and informed us that the dog could not be in the house. There was nothing said when we moved in that the dog could not be in the house. Then something happened with the neighbors and my husband went and said something to the landlord. My husband tried to explain what someone said, and it was a few cuss words. He wasn't directing the cussing at her, but just repeating what someone said. She had a fit, and informed us we had to move. A week after that, her husband came by and started harassing my husband about moving. He told me the reason we had to move was "because he is nuts". and that is the exact words my landlords husband used. He also tried to take the AC that was with the house when we moved in. My question is, can something be done about a landlord harassing a tenant?

Move and take them to Judge Judy for harrassment! You can make them pay for your moving costs. Document everything that has happened!

You lease can tell you more than we can.
I know most leases have a clause that states the reasons for eviction and causing trouble with the neighbors and cussing the landlord are on the list. Google tenant/ landlord agreement laws and read it for yourself.

It would depend on what your rental/lease agreement stipulates. Would you really want to stay living where you'll be uncomfortable and have people harassing you? They can take the AC if it's not listed on your rental agreement that it is for your use while you live there. If it doesn't belong to you, it's not yours.

If you have a written lease and you are up to date on payments, and not creating a nuisance situation/breaking a clause in the lease, they can't kick you out. They have to go through a legal process and they can't make up crap to get you out, it won't stand up in court. Tell them to communicate with you in writing from now on.

They can't take the A/C and they can't ask you to move if you're on a lease. If you're a month to month, they can ask you to leave for whatever reason.
