Several times a day, someone asks a very similar question to your's.

It's very helpfull to include a little more information in your question to help us, help you, in your times of trouble.

Some of the simple things to include in your question is:

1) Year of car.
2) Make of the car.
3) Model of your car.
Those three things can help us narrow down known issues with particular vehicles that have certain problems that occur on a regular basis. (ie. recalls and such)

Next, If you could give a more detailed explanation of what is happening when you turn the key to start your car.
1) Nothing happens?
2) You hear a "click", but nothing else?
3) You hear the starter turning, but the engine doesn't turn?
4) The starter turns the engine, but the engine won't start up?
5) The engine turns over, but very slowly.
6) the engine turns, but there's an awful banging noise?

Lastly:
What happened last time you drove it?

1) Drove home fine last night, just won't start today?
2) Was driving fine, and it just died on you?
3) You haven't driven it in a while. It's been parked in storage?

I like to say: "The better the question, the better the answer"

It's either mechanical, fuel related or electrical.

If the battery is up, you can rule that out. Could be a bad connection to the starter. Check that out. Maybe the main fuse block has blown; that's possible. A remote possibility is the ignition is bad and needs to be replaced.

If it turns over but doesn't start, it may not be getting spark, a wire could be off. Or it may not be getting gas. Take the air breather off and spray in a little bit of WD-40. Just a little bit. It's safe, won't blow up and if it tries to start, it's a fuel problem.

You should be able to jump a couple of wires to make the starter move. Be sure to disconnect the coil wire, you don't want it to accidently start up on you. You just want to know if the starter is working or not.

You are not giving us much to work with here... there is a plethora of things that could be wrong. No spark, no fuel, bad sensor, bad module, bad coils, fuel pump..yada, yada, yada....

Check for spark, pull off a plug wire and with insulated pliers hold it near a ground and see if there is spark..(use WELL insulated tools, or the spark WILL hurt)..

Checking for fuel is more difficult, not only do you have to have the tools, you need some knowledge..just the presence of fuel means very little if the pressure isn't correct

Sounds like a job for a mechanic.

Could be anything from a bad ignition module to a skipped timing chain. These are the things that will affect the engines on these cars.
Clogged fuel injectors or fuel filter (maybe the pump)
Ignition coil
Low cylinder compression (unlikely unless it has high miles)
Worn spark plugs or improperly gapped.
Broken wires in the ignition circuit.
Check the battery cables for corrosion as well.
hope this helps.

Unplug the twine to the "MAss air bypass sensor" and notice if it starts off! That sensor is placed between the air clear out and the engine. often on a great black flex-hose, that enables the exterior air to suck into the engine, by making use of making use of the air clear out. If it starts off, then it particularly is your situation. replace it. expenditures approximately $one hundred fifty.00 OR The gas pump is undesirable. turn the igintion key on, yet do no longer attempt to commence the engine. The gas pump will make a noise (from the gas tank). in case you do no longer hear a noise, in step with threat the gas pump is undesirable. yet no longer continually the case. See in case you have gas stress on the engine. stumble on a shrader-valve (sounds like a tire air-valve) and depress the midsection and notice if gas sprays out. No gas stress, then you definately've a gas supply situation.

Could be solenoid, starter drive. Does it give a high pitched squeek when you try to start it? That could be it if it has pleanty of cranking power. That's the only thing I can think of

Not much info.
You need fuel ,compression and spark at the right time so check these first ok.
