I have seen "Marvel Mystery Oil" free up stuck engines. Just put it directly into the cylinders.

If your able to remove the intake / exhaust manifold on top of the motor dump a gallon of "Blaster" right in the cylinders past the valves. Be sure the petcocks are closed and leave the spark plugs in for the time being. Let it set there a few days and fashion up a long bar that has a couple of large bolts on it to engage the face of the flywheel and see if you can rock it back and fourth. Pipe thread cutting oil works well also. I've seen the gallon cans of blaster in NAPA and Car Quest. We have a huge privately owned Mennonite farm supply store in Himrod, NY. which stocks it much less expensive than anywhere I've seen. If you free it up I'd change the oil because it most likely will have leaked by into the crankcase.

I am assuming the pistons are stuck in the cylinder bore and the crank and connecting rods are okay? Kind of common on tractors that are left setting around without the exhaust covered.

Depends on how "stuck" the engine is.....Fill the cyl with a good penetrating oil, let it set for about a week and then with the trans in gear attempt (carefully) to tug with another vehicle.

If it is "really stuck" I have known folks to fill the cyls with either a penetrating oil..or automatic transmission fluid..(Yep it really works) and let it set...I have heard for up to 1 year just soaking for some that are severaly rusted, you may get lucky after a week (or a month)

For some good info from a lot of guys who have restored a lot of old tractors, check out the forums at:

There are a whole bunch of good 'ol boys there who have been through the same thing you are doing.

Good luck !
