We made it possible for the foreign fighters and al-Qaeda types to establish a foothold in Iraq.
That was where Osama's success in his whole 9/11 scheme was sealed, and Bush did for him what he couldn't do himself. There had been no occupying infidel force in Muslim lands to speak of since the Soviets were in Afghanistan. The Jihadis were losing legitimacy, but now they're winning.
You have no evidence other than your opinion to offer that the US media have anything whatsoever to do with our success or lack thereof in Operation Al-Qagmyr.
On the contrary, US troops themselves have said 72% to 23% that they think we should withdraw from Iraq within a year. That was a year ago. http://www.estripes.com/article.asp?section=104&article=34538&archive=true (Or is Stars & Stripes considered "left-wing media"?)
Bush's nonpartisan Iraq Study Group deliberated until it came up with 73 unanimous policy recommendations, the opposite of which course Bush is choosing to pursue. http://www.usip.org/isg/
The "victory" you so loosely speak of is not the one Bush was talking about when he got his authorization to use force, nor is it one the American people would've voted for in any referendum.
Insurgents haven't given up because we are the uninvited and unwelcome military occupation force in their country. If the tables were reversed, would you jut roll over and let whomever come into your house to search you and your closets for whatever reason? How long would you put up with no electricity or sewer systems, and tanks blockading every fourth intersection on your way to work?
I hope not for long.

That is just ridiculous. Do you think the terrorists in Iraq turn on CNN and say "oh thank Allah they're criticising Bush, cause I just didn't have the heart to carry on!"
People don't need the approval of any Americans to do what they want. If 100% of the population of the US supported Bush in every move he made there would STILL be terrorists blowing people up in Iraq.

Bush had Congress in the palm of his hands for six years, and he still ruined Iraq. The liberals even let him go on with his surge. Bush is too arrogant to be able to win in Iraq. He refuses to even listen to the Baker-Hamilton report. He refuses to even try to diplomatically stop the civil war in Iraq. He thinks Iraq can be won by pure military force that is insufficient and spread too thin. Even General Petraeus has ben saying that the war cannot be won just by military force.
Liberals had nothing to do with Bush's failure in Iraq.

You think insurgents will LEAVE their own country? Or how about this one: Do you think there would be NO insurgency, and no war, if Americans both left and right were agreed on prosecuting this war?
You are truly a dumb f***.

Ahhhh...but Iraq doesn't belong to the US and if you're narrow minded enough to believe the only reason the US is in there is because of the war on terrorism, you're sadly misguided. Perhaps it's you that needs to open your eyes and see what's going on.

The only people to blame for shedding blood in Iraq is the folks who live there and can't seem to get past their history.
You're casting blame where it does not belong.
If you were to be lucky enough to get a real reading of the vast majority of people in Iraq, you'd know that they'll be at each other's throats the second we leave, be that a year or 50 years from now.
Blame Bush for failing to understand history. That's what you get for a spoiled college boy with gentleman's Cs for grades. His parents must be so proud...
