There is too much hate, not only in Missouri and Kansas, but everywhere. There have already been 27 homicides in Kansas City, Missouri this year. That is quite high for the first four months of the year. If people were to stop killing each other because of the clothes they wear, cars they drive, jobs they do, this world would be a lot better place.

I think that is a loaded question but I think the answer is poverty, unemployment, single parent homes and lots of drug and alcohol abuse.
There are also a lot of positives to the midtown areas such as great resturaunts, cool museums and historical homes. There is no culture in the entire Kansas City area like the rich culture in midtown Kansas City, Missouri.

There is an aggressive culture and limited resources. Violence is the way some of those involved in crime obtain things they won't earn legitimately.
There is also an air of dispair and a general disdain of learning. It is a temptation of many young people to take the short cut to earn the quick buck rather than put forth the effort of making a legitimate living.
There is also a cycle of poverty and for some an inability to see how they can provide for themselves since they're used to having things given to them free of charge.

I blame lower education programs, lack of opportunity, higher amounts of drug and alcohol abuse, and a lower overall standard of living.
What causes that? If you want to get technical, you can trace it back quite a while. It probably goes back to the old "separate but equal" and "slave/free" racist stuff and also some serious mafia/prohibition stuff too.
