Not so much the music. But what's your knee-jerk reaction to Punk - the people, the lifestyle, the politics? What's your take on it?

I miss it, like those burned out hippies used to miss "The 60s." The music was harder, there was more intensity, and a level of cynicism that was equal to the times.

Today, we worry about American Idle instead of a war, and counterculture is left to people who program World of Warcraft by day.

If punk isn't dead, it sure isn't feeling well.

I maybe wrong but when I think punk I tend to think suburban teen type. Not that I am being negative, because there are many kids I knew in HS who were Punk and still very good individuals. Its culture is misunderstood like most other genres of music. I think when you say a genre of music people in general always seem to give its listners a negative connotation. Hip Hop is thugs and gangsters, Hard Rock angry violent suicidal people. Country, stupid inbread rednecks I think you get my point.
