because if he saw something that wasnt the norm, he asked questions,he spoke his mind,and deep down all he wanted was for people to get along and for the world to live in peace only to get gunned down by an idiot...as elton john said in his tribute song to him..empty garden..its funny how one insect can damage so much grain

He was an idealist who wanted a Utopian society. He preferred to talk about his dream of world peace without the reality of centuries old hatred. Lennon also made then President Richard M. Nixon's public enemy list. Problem was Lennon was creatively gifted, yet he lacked intelligence. His wife Yoko Ono was the brain in the relationship.

He always spoke his mind and didn't care who he offended! He was a thinker and had a great sense of humor! He was truly one of the last good men! I think Ronald Regan was that way too!
