2x - 4x^3 - 4xy^2. isolate y.?

If the whole thing is supposed to equal zero, then do this:
(2x-4x^3)/4x=y^2
so y= sqrt((2x-4x^3)/4x))

This isn't my strong suit, but I think

y = root((2x - 4x^3) / 4x))
