when the consequence is damnation and suffering for doing so?
If you belive in the devil then you have to belive in God, and if you do, then devil worship makes no sense.
Hell is the place you DON'T want to end up, so why give praise and worship to someone who.
1) Isn't even a God, he isn't even physical and has no power except what you give him
2) The Devil was cast out of Heaven by force, So why side with the losing team?
3) The Devil hates you and wants nothing more than to carefully lead you to your destruction. . so why do you think that sounds like a good idea.
It seems that given the choice that God would be the obvious one.
What do you think?

lieberha. .said that she dosn't belive Satanist don't worship Satan. That's like saying Christians don't belive in or worship Jesus. If that were true then why call yourself a Satanist? That makes no sence.
Also, Others said that they don't belive in the devil. . .It's been said that the Devil's greatest trick is convincing the world he does not exist. . somthing to think about.

I think most Satanists don't actually worship Satan, as far as I know, which isn't very much, the deity worshiped in Satanism is the self, the philosophy seems to be live to make yourself feel good.
I bet there are Satanists that actually do believe in and worship Satan, but from what I know, most don't.

The satanists I have read about are atheists. They just picked Satan as a mascot, because they liked his style, what he stands for in mythology. He's sort of the be your own boss guy. I am not a Satanist but I know a little about them because I am interested in weird subcultures. And its Lieberhaeschen.

Nah, most people don't realise that Jimmy Page has dyslexia, thus when he said that Zeppelin worshipped Satan, he really meant they worshipped Santa.

This is a BIG guess but...
Maybe they have sinned so much, they don't think they will be accepted into heaven. So they figure I'm going to hell anyway, why not worship the devil and get on his good side before I get there.
Honestly, I don't know. I like the question though, and the thought that you put into it.

Once again, another deep question from Matticus....
This isn't quite the word for it, but its the closest...Rebellion.
They do it just because its what they know they shouldn't do....They think that somehow by damning their souls their sticking it to the rest of the world. They like the dark side of things better...I guess we'll never know why anyone do what they do...its just how life is. Thats my opinion anyways...

Satan, meaning "adversary", AKA "the devil" loves it when people don't believe in him. Then they have no choice but to blame his rotten deeds on God or blind chance.
People worship Satan because he promises wealth and power, but can deliver neither for any length of time because he is the father of lies.
He also makes people believe the lie that God does not really love them when in fact God is totally love.

Most people do not beleive in an evil entity such as satan. He is a myth that is used to explain, and excuse the acts of men.
