i have a challenge in school about this !!!
the thing is if you put a coin in fridge for 2 or 3 days why does the middle fall of. does it do something with temperature or metal???
please give me the right answer, cause its really important. i don't really understand it.

i haven't tried the expeirment and i know it doesn't make sense but i know there is something that needs to happen so the midlle of a one euro coin or two euro coin or other falls off !!!!

I'm assuming that you're talking about a coin with a different coloured middle, like the Canadian toonie. When you put the coin the fridge, the two metals (inside and outside rings) will contract at a different rate. I've never done this experiment, but it would make sense that the metal in the middle contracts faster than the metal on the outside. If the two parts aren't fused together well, the inside will fall out!

That really sound odd. Have you personally tried this?
As in middle fall off. Are your referring to the actual middle of the coin or the middle layer of brass/copper?
