I am a firm believer in the motivation dictates the appropriatness of the belief. Why do you want your wife to stay home? In and of it self I would say it is not a bad thing. The motivation behind it might reveal more deep rooted issues however. If your desire it to love, protect, and provide for your wife and family then wonderful. If on the other hand controle, manipulation and other issues are your intrisic motivators then you may have more things to consider.
You will also want ot look at what that woman wants. And also realize that what she wants in the beginning may change over time. The willingness to adjust to these changes is a true predictor or lifelong maritial bliss rather than one set way of thinking or acting.
Good luck to you.
May you find what your soul truly desires.

Women should stay at home if there are very young children involved. If a man can support his wife and they live comfortably, then in my opinion, it is fine for the woman to remain home. However, most of today's women are not so submissive.

Of course it isn't wrong for you to want that. If your wife does also and you can afford it, I think it is a great arrangement, especially when the kids are young.

No, it's what you want. I am sure there are women who don't want to work and would prefer to stay at home anyway.
It's all about personal choice. I could NEVER do that myself, but don't look down on someone who want to. You just remember she will have a tough job and she will need breaks every now and again!

I don't think there is anything wrong with that. I'm a stay at home wife and mom and my husband would not want it any other way.

No, that's not bad, but if she wants to work when the kids are older you should definitely not stop her from trying to pursue a dream.

definately not, as long as she wants to be a stay at home wife. there's nothing worse then making her if she doesn't want to, she'll be depressed and upset. but as long as she doesn't mind then it's all good!
