Zoysia grass grows sideways and takes over regular grass. How can I stop the horizontal growth?

I love the zoysia--soft as carpet, little mowing, survives any weather--but it may take over a neighbor's lawn in a year or two. Help!

Define an edge and then use Round-up to maintain that edge......or your neighbor will. The edge could be a small wall, a wide edging.....like two brick widths, whatever helps you keep an eye on the creeping grass so you can catch it before it escapes.
