Depends on if the police questioned you. If they do & have evidence (and they almost always do) I'm a Criminal Justice major BTW with nothing but cops for teachers then I would try to cooperate otherwise don't say anything. I'm on both sides w/ this matter. My dad did jail time for drugs a few years back & my brother dabbles in using & selling so unless an officer stopped me & asked in which case I haven't spoken to him in over a year I couldn't say for sure first hand anyway. Also if you live with them & they bust them in the house & you have knowledge of it they could arrest you as well.

Yes! It helps both them and the people of their community. A drug dealer doesn'tdeserve to be free on the street. Period. The police will happily help you out!

well it would depend on if they was selling to kids! if they were just taking drugs them self's or if they were dealing to people who could make there own choice then no, and 9 times out of 10 the police would not do anything about it anyway. but if they were dealing outside of schools and to kids then yes i would shop them to the police as kids cant make there own decisions and should not be made to be hooked on drugs at a young age though per pressure.

It depends on what you mean by "drug dealer". If the family member were a "wholesaler", selling to others who in turn sell to others yet, etc., I would probably turn them in.
On the other hand, if this person were a user who just sold to other users, I would recognize that this person is as much a victim as the users to whom he or she is selling. Most people in this second category are basically selling to support their own habit, and are not really making a *LIVING* from the misery of others. Furthermore, it's members of this second class of "dealers" who are all to frequently the ones who get insane sentences, while the folks who make the thousands of dollars dealing can afford good lawyers to keep them out of prison.

i would assess the situation, decide whether he's REALLY hurting anyone, like if e was selling to kids, or beating people up etc, i'd then give him a chance to quit and start a new life, if he didn't i'd shop him, mainly for his own good, and mainly for the good of others

Certainly, drugs are a root cause of crime and despair in society. Druggie scum should be hunted in the streets.
