A simple ''I'm sorry'' isn't gonna cut it. Stnad up, don't be afraid. Go to the one whom you did this too and do more than say I am sorry. Don't be a coward by posting on the web. What if they don't even see it. That doesn't matter anyway. Face the person whos feeling you hurt! In a mutual place (not in public preferably), meet with them. Talk about what may have occurred that made it get so bad that you hurt them. Say what you can do to correct it. Listen to their feeling. Look them directly into their eyes and do not turn away. Show compassion, feeling, emotions. You are the one that will have to prove to them that they can trust you once again. Please try it and I guarantee that it will work. One day they may forgive you, maybe even that same day. Don't push the issue with them. Relax, let them decide when the time is right for forgiveness. Good luck with this and I wish you all the best.

I have misread and answered on a completely different topic by mistake, but i don't think i have attacked anyone...but then who knows, there are some extra sensitive people here sometimes that may have mistaken my sarcasm for an attack, when it is purely innocent and just a joke!. Sheesh!

A couple times. I was tired and misread a question and gave a really smart *** answer. Then, when I read it again, it was a normal question. My brain sucks when it's tired. I usually erase my comment.

Kind of,,,,I misread it, answered it, got reamed for it, and then realized we were talking about the same thing, I was just in the future not the present.

these are lessons in life and if such is the case, a profuse apology would definitely help.
the first thing i would do is to send the persona link to this question (ask him to answer it, prolly) and then go on pleading sorry until he/she gives in.
