In his own words from a outburt he had last year where he also gave a bunch of F-bombs in a interview

"My little tirade, that doesn't help, absolutely not," Tortorella told the St. Petersburg (Fla.) Times. "That's a bad coaching reaction. That doesn't help the hockey team right now. I have my feelings, but it does not have to be presented that way at this point with this team . . . I don't think I helped in that situation. We need to do this together, and that includes the coaches."

I think he should be fined this time and again be forced to apoligize.

I thought he came across as rather snarky and arrogant, basically saying "I don't need to answer your silly questions". From a coaching standpoint though, I think he did it so that the media is isolated from the team, who has to win both of their next two games to advance. The Lightning need to focus completely on how they'll beat their opponents without the media distraction, and Tortorella is bringing the spotlight solely towards him. So in that respect, it's a shrewd tactic.

Tortorella can be a real pain in the rear.

He's cocky and arrogant.

He's good though.

Although I think he should be fined.

They have to be available to the press and he knew the cameras were rolling and he should not have said that with the cameras going.

Sure he was ticked off but if one of his players did that he would bench them.

He should lead by example.

Completely classless.

At least Brooks was doing his job last night, which is more than you can say for Tortorella.

Whatever, Tortorella was frustrated and Brooks was poking at him like a monkey in a cage. I don't blame him. I hope they make a big deal out of it.

Go Rangers!!!!

Tortorella's a jerk off, always has been always will be!! How dare a reporter ask him a question he dosen't like! That's your job moron!! Who cares if you like the question or not. Who cares if you think you know more than the reporter who asked it!! You answer questions after the game, if you had been victorious I'll bet you would've sung a different tune. Grow up and suck it up, your embarrassing hockey people in general. NJ in 6!!

Yeah! Poor Brooksie. But then again, Brooksie did get in there with the tough questions and make ALL the highlight reels.

Totorella. Let's say wasn't in a good mood. The whole media relations opp was senseless.

he shouldn't have to apologize for s#it. that brooksey reporter always messes with him when they are in jersey and torts wasn't having it last night. im proud that he stood up to the "powerful" media. he obviously didn't have time for senseless questions and was trying to get refocused for game 6 tomorrow.
