Hey. Does anyone know how the movie was able to block off some of the buisiest streets in London. Would the Government , Council allowed them to block off for a while. Because there would have been thousands of people. Thnx no stoopid comments please :)

The shooting schedule was really tight--they were only allowed to film at dawn (about 5:30 AM), for about ten minutes or so. That's why the light in most of those scenes where Cillian Murphy's character is wandering around deserted London is so bright.

they have to get alot of permits and such and when they do block off the streets they tell the news so they can tell the people that that road is closed for movie shooting. thats what happened to me cause they shot "kingdom"(the new one with jamie foxx) here and they had to use one of your freeways for a couple of weeks

time of day and day of week would be in a schedule to make it all work. thats done way ahead of filming it.
