Do all flourescent lights produce UVB, or only the ones that you buy at the pet store?

The only lights that produce UVB are the ones that say they do right on the package. If they don't say it, they don't do it. And yes, it's only ones you can get at pet stores. I'd recomend gettting just a UVB bulb (like a 10.0, however because these create enough UVB vs. a full spectrum or UVB/UVA combination bulb).

A bulb that produces UVB will have the letters UVB marked on the bulb. If it doesn't it's not producing UVB. Regular household flourescent bulbs do not produce UVB.

Only the ones that say it directly on the package produce UVB. Remember though, some bulbs will produce very litttle UV. If your pet needs high UV requirements then buy a reptisun 10, 5.0, or a reptiglo 10 or 8.0.

I got a lizard and I got my uvb bulb at a pet store.I think just to be safe you should go to the pet store and get one and ask them if your pet needs it because if your getting a lizard only certain lizards need the Uvb.

No 'normal' bulb, not even a 'daylight' or 'full spectrum' bulb, produces enough UVB to count.

most do but unless its a reptile or pllant bulb it wont give off much uvb
