Hello,
In my opinion, the comment you got was just plain stupid! It has absolutely nothing to do with what you were talking about. That saying, "make love, not war", came into being in the 1960s, during the anti-war protests against the Vietnam War, which also co-incided with the "sexual revolution" of the Hippie movement, most of whom were peaceful (though often heavily drugged) people. So, to say that love was a better, more life-affirming option than the brutal killing of war, this saying came into popular use.

I just read that thread and agree with Batty, the answerer was referring to your questioning of gods actions in the bible. what she meant to convey was the idea that god is the white rabbit, a fantasy figure, and where he got his coat (how many people he killed) is therefore fantasy too.

I imagine your answerer was expressing the opinion that war was an inevitability of humankind and that to offer love as an alternative was fantasy. The reference was to "Alice in Wonderland"; Alice's adventures begin when she sees a white rabbit dressed in a waistcoat (vest) take a watch out of the pocket. exclaim, "oh my ears and whiskers!" and dash off.)
Perhaps he or she believes that we have no choice in the matter.
Personally, I disagree.
Waging love and peace is as hard and dangerous as waging war---but we always have the choice as to what we believe and practice.

I believe it was your use of the Bible without any questioning of it's authenticity. Many people consider the Bible to be fiction, or fantasy. If you present the Bible as grounds for anything you must be prepared for this type of answer.

Don't try too hard to figure this out. The comment was simply meant to tell you that you're dreaming, get real. I don't agree with that comment, however, and you should stick to your guns, so to speak.
