How do you reset the maitenance reminder light on a 2006 Honda Ridgeline?

to set the maintenance required light you have to set the trip odometer to the display that shows the percent of the oil life that is left. Then, turn the ignition key off. Hold the trip reset button in and turn the key on. keep holding the button in. The percent remaining light will start to flash. At that point, release the trip reset button and then press it in and hold it again. After about 30 seconds (it may be up to a full minute) the oil life indicator will change to 100%.

if the oil life indicator is not displayed when you turn the ignition key back on, then cycle to that display and then hold the trip reset button in without turning the key off until the light starts to flash then release the button and then push it in again and hold it until the oil life changes to 100%. the reset procedure doesn't always take on the first shot so you have to be patient.
