Alright, last year I made a Nightmare Before Christmas Tree for my house and it looked really cool. I got a big artificial tree, spray painted it black, put red christmas lights on, got some purple garland that had bats attached to it, strung lights with various pumpins on them around the tree, I loaded a TON of cobwebs on, put purple, orange, and red ornament balls all over the tree, and had a Jack Skellington figure for my tree-topper. But it looked too much like Halloween and less of a Christmas-turned-Halloween tree. Simpler terms- It looked like a halloween decoration and didn't AT ALL resemble Christmas. I want it to look like the Halloweentown people had just taken over my Christmas tree. Kind of like the Haunted Mansion Holiday at Disneyland, CA. ANY IDEAS HOW TO MAKE IT MORE LIKE SOMETHING FROM THE HAUNTED MANSION HOLIDAY?? also- money is not an issue! thanks for any help!!

I love that movie! haha jeez i wish i could of seen last years tree it sounds awesome! Hm... What i would do is Have it on your roof or something and have one side of the tree decorated all nice and sweet but on the other side have it black again with cobwebs and have Jack sitting beneath it staring up and it oh and on the nice side have santa smiling so i looks like it just got taken over! Or you could have Jack look like hes chasing santa and have santa running around so there fighting on how it should look and you should have Sally sitting and shaking her head. Lol thats just what popped in my mind get back to me and let me know if it was good or not!
I love that flipping movie!

haha your friend Brad!

Well, what you did last year sounds really cool, but if you want some of the "Christmas" to remain, leave the tree green. The lights, garland and ornaments sound good, but maybe back off a little on them and add some more "traditional" chirstmas ornaments.Cut back on the cobwebs, just a few here and there. And don't forget the icicles.

If it were me, I would sequence the lights of the tree to nearly any song from the soundtrack. How do you do that? Great question, I am glad you asked:

Lightorama.com or animated lighting.

They both offer different controllers which allow you to break down a song into segments of time and tell a relay to turn the lights on/off, flicker, shimmer or fade up/down.
