And you had absolutley no way of getting home at the end of the evening (due to whatever circumstances) and you do not have money for a cab, do you except a lift from someone you hardly know , if not what would you do?

I agree with whoever said not to get yourself into that situation. I was in that situation once because I had made plans for a ride but they backed out after I was already there and drinking, but thankfully the party was at my best friend's house and I crashed there because I felt comfortable and could trust the people there. If you are going to a party where drinking is involved, you need to plan ahead and either discipline yourself to not drink and drive yourself home, or line up a ride ahead of time. If the party is at someone's house you don't know, take along someone who you trust to get you home safely. Your safety is the most important thing, you must value your own life and not do anything that puts yourself in harm's way.

In my opinion, a woman should never accept a ride with someone she doesn't know. It's just too big of a risk these days. You should always make sure you have enough money for a cab with you always just in case. You shouldn't put yourself in a situation like this to begin with. If you were at a club, I'm sure a bouncer, a bartender or someone would help you with cab money to get home. If you're at a party, there must be someone there you know or you could sleep on the couch. Better to be safe than sorry.

I wouldn't "expect" a lift from someone I know. I would probably lock myself in a room that no one was using and try to sleep there.

Yeah, I just did that last night. Or, I crash somewhere, and hopefully we know each other better in the morning. You can really make some great friends during breakfast. ~N

I can't imagine being at a party where there was no one I knew well enough to ask for a ride home.

Absolutely not !
You could always call a real friend and explain the situation, they will come and get you, once.
If they won't, then they aren't that concerned about you. They aren't real friends.
If it happened the second time, then you aren't a real friend.
