since you have fair skin you should start out very slowly. like couple times for a week and then if there is no sunburn go to every other day for 2 weeks and then everyday for a week and then you should have a good tan to start with. so that is about a month.

To be honest, you should avoid tanning. If you're naturally fair/pale, that means that your skin is not designed to take much sun, and even tanning can cause skin cancer. You should embrace the color your skin normally is, and wear an SPF 15 sunscreen whenever outside. If you're outside a lot, you'll still get a healthy glow, but it's not exactly a tan. My pale cousin who tanned frequently got melanoma at age 18, and it's not all that uncommon for that to happen. Not to mention that tanning makes your skin age way, way faster. If you really dislike being pale, use a fake tanner lotion, but being pale is nature's sign that you're not meant to be out in the sun too much and you aren't supposed to tan.

depends what your natural skin tone is & how often u go, & for what length of time...if u start out slow, to prevent burning, i`d say 3-4x a week in a tanning bed for 3-4 weeks...

depends on your skin type, but you can easily control your tan by using tanning lotion or spray-on tan. it's WAY easier and it doesnt damage your skin
