I always keep an open mind in any given situation. While most accounts of Nessie have been explained away, I have just the least bit of suspicion that something is out there. All sightings have not been discounted. Some simply can't be explained. Much like the UFO issue. With all the billions of star systems out there, it is incomprehensible to me that life exists on just one world.

Not a chance that a group of creatures of the size described could survive and not be properly photographed or detected by any of the many Nessie expeditions. All the main photos seem to have been hoaxes.

Nessie has sold a heck of lot of tea towels and made a lot of money for the area. Its a nice piece of fiction.

And that goes for UFOs too.

in my opinion Nessie is just a fiction. Probably, long time ago there was Nessie but she died. People still believe in Nessie. Thats why Lochness is very touristy. It makes Scotland very mysterious. I hope, I will visit Lochness one day.

I'm unsure, there's been a lot of money spent on inconclusive investigations.
I do think, however, that if proven either way it will take a lot of the mystery and romance out of the local area.
