April 20, 2007 — The heavy breathing over global warming is enough to terrify anyone.

Last week the Washington Post interviewed a 9-year-old who said the Earth is "just starting to fade away." In 20 years there will be "no oxygen" he said, and he'll be dead. The Post went on to say that "for many children and young adults, global warming is…defining their generation." How sad.

Thirty-six years of consumer reporting have taught me to be skeptical of environmental scares. Much of what the media scares us about turns out to be myths.

It's really pathetic to be scaring little kids like that!! I mean thats when they have taken it to extremes!! The poor kids don't realize in the 30's our planet was a lot warmer than it is now and in the late 70's we were entering 'an ice age'. How is it nobody actually checks these things out?

Global Warming is coming, whether there are people on earth or not. Dinosaurs once roamed the South pole and there were no ice caps. Probably better heading for warming than another Ice Age.

Pollution contributes to Climate change which is not neccessarily Global Warming or even warming.

i desire to ask a question: those scientists & agencies that declare that it truly is guy-made, who's funding their research? it truly is a effortless false impression that scientists are impartial. if it quite is the case, then each and each of the scientists in Nazi Germany must have fled from their us of a. My element is maximum "scientists" have agendas and commitments, similar to something else human beings. they are human, like you and me. i'm no longer a scientist, yet evaluate this: Volcanos emit extra pollution and polutants into the air than say an oil refinery or nuke station. evaluate the very truth there are sunspots and image voltaic flares and certain, they impact the Earth. remember the tiers of cosmic radiation that bombard are planet as well. And formerly guy ever grew to grow to be stepped ahead, that's something to contemplate, there have been ice a lengthy time period, mass extictions, shifts of poles, etc. In essence, i'm saying the Earth's no longer likely everywhere -- we are! %. your luggage, because our time the following is amazingly constrained. you are able to both make issues extra helpful on your keep on with human or problem about something you've not got any administration over.

I watched a liberal global warming rally from the balcony of a 4th story building. Everyone was ranting, chanting, and blabbering on. Then I held a lit match over the crowed and they all exploded. I guess it was because they were spewing fat gas out of their mouths.

I believe in global warming. But even if I didn't, I'd still conserve energy. The world is RUNNING OUT OF OIL. It doesn't grow on trees, you know.

Global warming is a myth. No one ever mentions the fact that historical temps varied periodically, i.e. several ICE AGES (plural). How has our warming trend compared to those previous?

Evolution happens. Global warming is being blown out of proportion.

Internal combustion engines do need to go away. However, that's purely do to inefficiency & the fact I don't like smog.

I will take the "downright stupidity". That is what I think of everyone who calls global warming a "myth". The downright stupid people who seem to think Ann Coulter is their all-seeing guide.

The media reported on global cooling too in the 70's. We all know what happened with that. Nothing. Big scare.
