Yes, if it was a choice between me losing my life and them, I would offer my life. I have offered my life for a complete stranger before. Part of the reason I can do it is because in some ways, I am ready to die. I am not saying I want to die. I just have a lot of peace with God on that front. It does not matter what the age, race, sex, sexual orientation, nationality or anything else is of that person, or whether I like them or not. That is irrelevant. The point is that I may have the chance to change someone's life. If I knew the person was evil e.g. Hitler, I would not bother. Saving the life of someone like that would simply cause more suffering and death. I will never know if the stranger in whose place I offered my life is a decent person, if they will ever be grateful, if they are going to do good or evil, but I would do it again if I had to. We can almost never know what kind of a person someone will turn out to be, even when they have reached adulthood. People can and do change, sometimes for the better and sometimes for the worse. If we want to change the world, we often have to sacrifice and we often have to take risks and hope that the other person will take what we have done, given to them or for them, and what we have taught them, to become better people, who in turn change the lives of others.

I would like to say that I would, but you often do not know what choices you would make until a certain situation. At this moment, I would save any being in place of my life....whether it be a child, teenager, grown up, or an old lady. Everyone knows this is the 'right' answer, but how many of us would truely take action? I hope I will....if I am ever faced with a situation like this, but until then I will face life with this in mind: "Dream as if you'll live forever, Live as if you'll die tomorrow!" I will treat each day as if it were my last, for I will never know what tomorrow will bring, and if there'll be a person in need of my life, I will know that I have lived my life to it's fullest!!!!!

If I had a chance to save a child's life at the price of my own, I would not hesitate to do it, or an older kid does not matter because a life is a life, it would not matter how old they were. Second of all it would not bother me, if that child, or kid would grow up and be whatever he decides to be, is his choice, not mine.

Um a single child? Do i know em? Otherwise probably not. I am actually a strong advocate of altruism. However, i think that i have been put here for a reason myself, and that i should not choose when to die, but let it happen as it will.

For two definately.

I have 4 children and YES I would save any of their lives for the price of my own. No matter what my children or any other child for that matter grows up to be, they are children and my heart is full of love for them. Instead of hate your heart should be full of love.

Only a fool would do so. If the parent is not willing to save their own child then, it seems unreasonable to expect others to do this.
