Poor little guys, but if they are sooooo lazy then how can they jump from tree-top to tree-top? Crazy animals.

True, the Koala has few natural predators. I am a wildlife rescuer who used to work with a lot of Koalas (when I lived in Koala country). Their predators are, cars, dogs, cattle (weird but true), and people. They can be fierce if necessary. They have sharp claws and a painful bite, but they rarely need to use their defenses. They may appear to be lazy because they sleep 20 out of every 24 hours, but if needs be they can move very fast! Trust me, I've been out at 4 am chasing a koala that was hit by a car, and it took us forever to corner him! And that was with serious injuries! We finally had to get the fire department out with a cherry picker to catch him! (He recovered from his injuries and was released a month later)

there are virtually no predators in australia that could pick the koala bears off their eucalyptus.. dingos dont climb onto trees, crocodiles dont climb onto trees, and I am not aware if there is any big enough bird of prey capable of tearing koala apart from its home tree.

after all they are not lazy, they jus got hign because of the posonous content of tree's leaves :) they just dont have anyone to print a "went trippin' " warning for them.

No. That is why there so many weird animals evolved in Australia. It is missing the predators that most continents had.

If something did get up there they seem to have a really mean looking set of claws so I think they would be OK anyway.

Koala's are tough man. I once fought a Koala over a tree that I was buliding a tree house in Australia...

Me " shoosh get out of here mate "

Koala " GRRRRR "

I tried to push him and he slapped me in the bloody hand, I then gave him two hard body shots, he went beserk hit me 7-10 times and I fell out of the tree.

I picked another tree for my tree house

dont underestimate koala bears they can be very viscious ,they gt long nails ,like claws and very sharp teeth and they can defend them selves from whatever wants to eat them in the trees in Australia ,large snakes like boas are probably their worst enemy.
