It may vary by location and school, but my school was 40 hours per week for 2 years. Salary definitely varies. I make $42,000 and I graduated two years ago.

I think that schooling may last about two years but perhaps may vary. I'm not really sure about the current job prospects and the program is supposed to include some physics. Here is a website from the US Occupational Outlook Handbook: www.bls.gov/oco and can type into search 'x-ray technician' or 'radiographer'.

2 years and then you have a year of clinicals, my niece is doing hers now and it is not easy to get into, she had to wait for about 6 months to get her routation time in clinicals even though she was all done with classes. Depending on if you want to relocate some places are willing to pay very good and in the long run you can make up to 60,000$ a year if not more. look into it or keep at it, the job market is good for that field right now.

Formal training programs in radiography range in length from 1 to 4 years and lead to a certificate, an associate degree, or a bachelor’s degree. Two-year associate degree programs are most prevalent.
