Yes, my house burnt down Nov. 2005..the stove had caught on fire and my dad tried to get it out but it just grew bigger, i just had a baby a few months before it happened, so as soon as i called 911 to report the fire, i grabbed my child and we took off out the door and we just watched our house w/ all of our stuff just get destroyed, it was devastating...the fire dept. took 8 mins. to get to our home becuz they got stuck behind a freakin train! THEN when they got there the water wasnt working!! so by the time they got the water going on the house, my house was already destroyed, i just watched the roof cave in, just melting...it was so sad, but thankfully we all got out safely and we were alright...

It was an electrical fire early April last year.
I kept waking up and tossing and turning because this light outside was on and i never leave it on.
So I got up and my dog came along with me as soon as I opened the hallway door, The smoke billowed in and i could see the fire through it. I ran outside and then ran back in and grabbed the phone. Ran to the chook run and rang the fire'ies.
I lived on a farm and they only took half hour or so.
It was 2 am in the morming.
I left thier with my dog (couldn't find my cat-she's on my lap at the moment) and just the nighty I was in!
I thank God, for some strange reason, that light was meant to be on!
Yeah I was in shock for a couple of weeks! So was my little dog but my cat wasn't too bad.

A few years ago we went to Turkey for a week,s holiday, We went out in the night had a really good time and a few drinks, went back to the hotel and went to bed. The next morning when we woke up all the things on the table and shelves were on the floor we thought that the night before that we were a bit drunk and had made all the mess we went to breakfast and there was rubbish and trees all down over the place..when we saw our rep he told us that there had been a small earthquake during the night...We had slept through it all

I live in Illinois. We get at least 3 three close tornado calls each year. Out of the three only about 1 is closer than 40 miles. The closest call for us so far was less than 15 miles away, but that's it.

Im in florida! I've been through part of Katrina, Rita, and Wilma all in one year. I hated it the rain, wind, blackouts, feeling like tornados were spawning because of pressaure changes. It was horrible and then the clean up afterward was almost as bad. I was stuck in my neighbor hood for 2 days because of down trees and powerlines

I've been through numerous hurricanes and tropical storms and witnessed a couple of tornadoes. Luckily my loved ones, my body or property sustained little or no damage.
