I like him, and I'll tell you why: the man has boatloads of integrity. He made a decision and he stuck with it. He doesn't waffle.
I try to imagine what it must be like to be President of the United States. His day is probably scheduled right down to the minute and he has to deal with so many people in a given day: staffers, news organizations, cabinet members, other world leaders. And he's trying to run a country. Look at all the issues he has to deal with on a daily basis.
It's got to be an incredibly tough job and I would imagine there are days when he'd like to chuck it all and go fishing. So when he has to make a tough decision, I like the fact that he sticks with it once he makes that choice.
I don't agree with everything in his agenda, but I also don't have access to the information and facts that are at his disposal. I think it's important to remember this, and whether it's a Republican or a Democrat in that office, if they're doing their job to the best of their ability, and remembering that they serve the people, not just their own interests, then we owe them the respect of admiring their willingness to shoulder the responsibility.
What I don't like is all the bashing based on emotion rather than facts. As an example, I learned some things about Harry Reid today that surprised me. He supports positions that I agree with, and so I had to admit that maybe I should learn a little more. He was very wrong to declare the war as LOST, and I think he needs to apologize for it. But I'm grown-up enough to say that we may actually have some other opinions in common.
Nobody is all good or all bad. I think most people who aspire to the Presidency are motivated by a desire to serve their country. Just imagine the situation we'd have if nobody wanted the job...

The majority of America doesn't even like him. The people that like him are just being stubborn. They don't want to admit that they are just wrong, so they defend him to the death any chance they get to make themselves feel better. When a average person like me sees your comments, I see it as normal and average so I kinda ignore it and don't rate it, but the Bush lovers who see it get so outraged by the blatant insult to their taste in politics that they have to, just have to fight the power!! Its kinda like when someone is proved wrong after a long argument. The loser is so embarrassed that even though proved wrong, they fight even harder to excuse or defend themselves. I think they just take Bush comments personally. I don't know if I can explain this very well right now... OK let me try again. Have you ever seen people defending a team after they lose. The winners don't fight as hard to defend their winner as the losers do defending their losers. I think they feel that by winning an argument about George W or giving your comments a thumbs down they make him less of a loser. But the fact remains. Bush sucks!
Let my thumbs down begin!!!!

No as far as im concerned he's an idot that never deserved to e president in the first place and only got president the second time because america was scared of replacing him in the middle of the war. Now that america sees that the war is pointless and loved ones are not returning from over there in alarming rates the want him out as fast as possible

Well I love him!
But I would say he's probably as popular here as he is in the rest of the country. You've probably got a third that hates him, a third that loves him, and a third that really doesn't care.
