Yes, eagles and hawks can eat cats. We have one black cat that was attacked by a hawk and only goes out at night now. Eagles prefer fish. Hawks are more dangerous to land creatures. I have seen a young eagle observing a neighbors kitten.

Eagles certainly could, though I would not expect them to come near human habitations.
Great horned owls have also been known to eat cats, and they do live even in towns. But in towns they probably eat more rats and gophers.
(I remember a news report that a woman was walking her chihuahua on a leash, and an eagle jumped out of the bushes and grabbed it. Because of the leash, she was able to wrestle the dog away from the bird and take it to the vet, and she also reported the incident. Wildlife rehabilitators went and collected the eagle, which was injured and starving, which explains the strange nature of the attack.)

yes, depending on how big your cat is...however, it is more likely that it ran off...i have had cats and dogs do this alot...be gone for a week or two and then come back like nothing happened (except they usually come back really dirty when they do this)...so dont lose hope just yet.

hopefully your cat will come back all safe and sound.
