Saddam had little to nothing to do with al-Qaeda, that is true, but the fact still remains that this war has brought an al-Qaeda force into the country. They are currently operating out of the western Anbar province. They are the ones who are responsible for the attack on the Golden Dome, a sacred Shi 'a mosque, which in turn escalated the current sectarian violence. To say that al-Qaeda is not a problem within Iraq is nothing more than a fallacy. I will agree that they are only there in response to the foreign policy of our current administration, but the fact remains the same; they are there, and they will not just pack up and leave if we do. The Iraqis need to be better prepared to defend their country from foreign terrorist organizations working within Iraq. That is why we must stay for the time being.

Bush's original claim was a self-fulfilling prophecy. Now he can say with complete abandon that Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11, but still continue his claim of fighting Al Queda in Iraq. Why? Because Al Queda IS now in Iraq, thanks to us. The most they did in Iraq when Hussein was in power was give him fits around the Western border. Now they put small forces in Baghdad to devil us while they grow in power in the outer regions and in Afghanistan. But consider the mixed messages of this Administration. The same day that a report came out of the White House acknowledging that Iraq had NOTHING to do with 9/11, Cheney was running his mouth saying just the opposite. This Administration is going to surpass Nixon's as being the most corrupt and secretive Administration this country has ever had the misfortune to endure.

The war in Iraq does in fact have something to do with the war against Al-Qaeda. At first it didn't, but since we invaded and gave them a foothold, it does.

It is probably more accurate to say that it is we who have given Al-Qaeda the very opportunity for holy war against the infidel invader they had lacked since the Soviets were in Afghanistan.

We have built for them in Iraq an advanced postgraduate urban warfare jihadi school, with the very finest instructors in the world. They come from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Yemen, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, to train against the Americans in Fubariyah.

I remember Wes Clark saying at one point that he was on TV the morning of 9/11 and he got a call from the White House (he never said whom) asking him to announce that Iraq had been behind the attacks. He said sure, and asked what evidence led them to believe that, and they said that there was no evidence yet, but they'd fill in the blanks later. He then declined to make the announcement.

You have not read Saddam's papers either, and cooperation between Iraq and Al Qaida dated back to Somolia in 1993 Diplomatic ties were established with the Taliban by Iraq in 1999. Safe haven was granted to Zarqawi prior to the war starting. Safe Haven....Good enough reason for war, not to mention Iraq was in violation of the Ceasefire Armistice of 1991 with or with out WMD.

guy there is no war on 'al CIAda' either.

Bush and Clinton both signed W199EYE

and they are giving border patrol agents like Ignacio Ramos and Jose Campean hard jail time for defending the country against illegals.

Anyone can get in.

They encourage it.

They can't wait for the next attack so they can shred more of the U.S. Constitution they swore to uphold

But take a microchip in your forehead and that will save you.

America is sooooo dumbed down, it's really sad..

Where on Earth did you get this rediculous idea that the war in Iraq has nothing to do with Al Quaida? Have you even been paying attention to the news broadcasts for the past four years or have you been in some kind of coma?

Who was Al Zaquawri? Oh, he was the leader of Al Quaida in Iraq until we killed him.

Who's al Masri? Oh he's the current leader of Al Quaida in Iraq.

Who's training the insurgents in Iraq? Oh, that's Al Quaida.

WHAT PART OF AL-QUAIDA IN IRAQ DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND??????

Dude. Al Qaida is now VERY active in Iraq. So technically, even though there was no connection to 9/11 in Iraq at the start of the war, we are fighting the terrorists head on.

You can thank the "you're either with us or against us" line for uniting the world's radical Islamic militants.

everyone knows that the war in Iraq has nothing to do with a threat on us , it has to do with a personal vendetta he had , but also his greed , were all knowing the truth on this now , he thought he could cover his lies for a long time but just watch the movie Fahrenheit 9/11 to see where he really sits on top his evil empire

He's doing this because he want to continue what his father couldn' t finish back in the Desert Storm in '91. That's all and a lot of innocent troops from different nations are being killed for this bs war.
